Trim Help
All Right Guys I Need A Little Help Here.
I Changed My Harness And It Does Not Have Trim Indications Anymore. Is There A Way To Bypass And Just Hook It Up Directly Or Does It Need To Go Through The Harness?
I Trim By Feel And Really Do Not Care If It Works For Me, But If Someone Else Is Driving I Do Not Want To Worry About It. So If Any One Knows What I Can Do I Would Be Grateful. Thanks

Re: Trim Help
It's a simple circuit, run a line from the sender post on the trim gauge through the trim sender and then to ground. I assume the dash wiring is still stock. If not there should be switched fused power supply to the plus side on the trim gauge and a ground on the gauge also.
If it reads backwards switch the wires at the transom

Re: Trim Help
If your boat harness is stock as far back as the engine bay, look for the brown and white wire coming from the dash, (should be the same color on the back of the trim gauge sender post). extend this wire to the male connector on the trim sender and the other trim sender wire (female) should go to a good ground
EDIT, if it's real old the sender wire on the gauge might be purple

Did you cut off the old mercruiser engine harness plug? if so this is where I would look for the brown/white wire.
