SURPRISES when we only boat on the lake tomorrow. Found big pieces of gear on magnet when we checked drives. One of the faces of upper gear teeth was failing.

Double R carries all the parts in stock and is equipped to rebuild
SIXES

Turnaround time up here with short season is important.
We'll see what happens tomorrow !!

Cloke - Call me after you run. Also, send me a preview of your 100th post before it goes up and I will forward it to my lawyer to see if you will ever be bondable again after posting that filth. :drink:

Sean - No drivetrain????

Chuck - You do what you have to do when you've got the "underdog ride." :evilb:

BTW- The Double R Bash is Saturday November 25 at the shop.

For like the second time I think.

I am sure that the Nortec crowd will assure them that the best solution is already on the boat as he pays that repair bill.

Maybe we can race the deckriders.

Airpacker 10-23-2006 07:56 AM

Re: Double R Does It Again

I figured it was easier than winterizing it, just pull the drive train and bring it into the shop for the winter.

Time for a freshening. 400 plus hrs on the bottom end and you all know how I drive it. Two speeds, dock and drive :)
Considering options now, maybe a bore and stroke job coming. Hell, I gotta find another 60 mph if I'm gonna catch Alec :)

Sean,

You can bring your ped. And if it's snowing, there's always the supercharged Apex's to race. :D

If Sean wants to race, let him take out the 125mph go cart Pete.

This outta be good;

JAy, no problem. Hwy 11 south at 125 all the while staying below the cops radar gun height :) Could do a beer run to Barrie and back in 15 minutes. Unless of course, its snowing :) Having driven twin engined race carts in rain and snow, I know its not the smartest thing to do.

PETE

148 with driver
138 self

Spent half day pulling upholstry out of my AH on run by myself. Should listen to Raymond.

Double R Performance 10-23-2006 04:59 PM

Re: Double R Does It Again

Alec,

148's not too shabby. Are you going to go out this week with Raymond and let him throttle that thing over 150 or not? :evilb: Wait! don't answer that. You're at 99 posts. You can answer with #101. You should know that Ray says he could even get that boat over 150 with my fat a** in the backseat.

-Peter

Oh Alec, I gladly volunteer for duty preventing the upholestry from getting there in the first place. IE, need a wheel man with a fair bit of cat experience ? :)
