Re: Which of these boats would you buy and why?

The Hustler looks like a great boat. I simply would not choose it because of the year. It will be much harder to resell in 3-5 years.

The Nordic and AT run VERY close to the same speeds. I emailed the Nordic owner right when the boat came up for sale. He told me it ran 80mph with full tanks and 5 people. The colors on the Nordic are not helping it sell. That and I really don't care for the wrap around lexan are what steered me away from it.

The AT is a great boat and was dialed in perfect by the original owner. You also can't beat the AT's construction. It now has 370+hrs on it. Thats about 150-200 more than were on it the last time it sold about 3 yrs ago. Like I said, its a great boat, but based on the number of hours on it now and what it was being sold for before, I think the current asking price is too high. That being said, out of the 3, I would still chose the AT.

What do you think is a fair price for the AT? Also it will be kept in a heated rack storage facility, so if a boat comes with a steel trailer not a big deal.

thanks

The Hustler.
Our old hustler handled the rough with ease, and went 95. The only reason we got rid of it, was to go bigger (37 OL).

I feel like I have some pretty good first hand knowledge so I will offer it up;

AT - I was in detailed discussions with the owner as I was interested pending the sale of my 28 Nordic Heat. As Sydwayz says, this is the kind of guy you want to buy a boat from - very particular, well maintained and very clean (I have several pics).

Nordic - I have had my Heat for 3.5 yrs and am heavily considering the 35' Flame as my next purchase. Solid performing boat with a well laid out cockpit/cabin and good, solid speed.

Hustler - I wouldn't buy a 1995 year model if my other 2 considerations were 5 and 6 years younger.

Between the Nordic and AT, the items I would weigh the heaviest are;
- 500 Carb's vs EFI's
- No Step Hull vs Twin Step Hull
- Aluminum vs Steel Trailer
- 35' vs 32' (cabin specifically)

You can't lose in either case.

With that, let me add what I think is a great performing boat - similar price range and size. I am a fan of Sunsations and I think this would be a good buy;

Good Luck!

I would like to keep it under 80K, would be a cash deal more than likely.
I have a Magic Wizard that i will be selling and will be putting that money towards the purchase as well.
Would love to have a 35 or 38 fastech, 99 or newer, but none to be had in the price range.
Thanks for your input guys.

AT is by far the better boat. Construction is second to none.
