Default safe limit

Please dont hate me but,

I have a 502 blue 500 efi merc bbc in a 67 prostreet Camaro
My questions are:
How much can this engine handle? ( keep in mind that Im not running at a constant 5k but in short bursts and mostly street driven)
I still have the stock tb on it, is it worth upgrading to the ASandM oval 1300cfm tb?
Looking to put a ys Vortech on it, anybody done it?

current rwhp about 400hp and rwtq was 550

Always looking for more but want to keep it reliable.

Thanks

The engine can handle a lot of power. Camaro's don't float very well though!

We are shooting for 800 on pump and 1000 on race gas
