biggest issue is going to be overcoming the lack of speed. coming out of a 105+ mph OB cat most are going to seem slow.

fascinating :rolleyes: ...leakdown, header replacement....drives considering the reactions I got in the 496 vs blue thread in Bajaland... and no doubt what I said here earlier about the additional $ that would go into that cig and whether in the end it would be the "value" your looking for... |

I'd just buy the boats that suits your needs best. People still can't understand why I got a heavy old resin bucket but it's what "I" wanted. Wait till the peanut gallery tells you how to power the boat...that's another good one! :eek:
And the speed...well that's just ego...everyone cruises at almost the same speed anyway...speed it just for braggin rights. You're not gonna do 103 in the ocean with 5 fters. :drink: |

I was rafted off to a 353 a couple years ago, and even with the swim platform, it wasn't much larger than my 302 Formula. I'm pretty sure it weighs less too. You'll have no issues pulling it with your truck.

Personally, I'd go with the 28 Pantera. I was rafted off to one of them that same weekend, and it was damn near as big as my 302. If I were to buy another boat, it would most likely be a 28 Pantera with a big single.
