I suspect that they were either on a high idle, or were running a different, milder engine combination than this past summer. What I remember was a much lower idle with a nasty almost nitro crackle to it, a major blower surge and a blower whine that could be heard all the way across the marina. As hard as it is to believe, the cat sounded even more nasty than in the sound file. Imagine if you will, a top fueler idling-that's what it sounded like. He's redoing the exhaust sytem, so I can't wait to hear the music this year!
