I think you would loose to much bit running one drive your slip would be to high for the size and weight of the boat, you could run that imco drive splitter with two drives and one big 1100hp motor that might work well

Hey Scott !!
I've considered that small block idea - couple of aluminum small blocks with 15:1 compression running on alcohol and puttin out about 800 hp at 8400 rpm like the old sprint days might get her over the 130 mark OK - lets do it - fire up that grinder !!!!!!

PS - I ran out of light bulbs last night - got any ??

Magazine test of Nordic 35 with single 1200 and IMCO splitter went 109 mph if I remember correctly. Same boat with a pair of 600s would go??
I like the splitter idea, keep the cockpit the same, easier to work on the engine. Less drive headaches. Two bravos and a splitter less $ than a #6?

What is a cabin? After owning 8 cats I have a V-hull with a cabin. We used it to stow our jackets. Nice.....

Hmmm........Now I'm thinkin'..........

Would a single 1050-1100 hp run the same? Weight would be less.

I remember Velocity put a single Torque Engineering V-12 in their 41 years ago will respectable results.

Has anyone else ever tried a big HP single in a 35 ft or over V-bottom?
That's funny, the other day I was thinking about what speeds the new 35 would go with a single T53!
