Gotta admit I didin't really catch on to the date\place on the earlier thread about the Broken Cig. But both myself & the old man remember, one of the JJ's coming in with a picklefork problem gougues or a little piece knocked off. Just seems like it had to be the 35' cause it would have taken a Natural disaster or worse to have hurt the nose of the 48' :D

curious - would the Jesse James 48 be competitive today with the proper power? Or was it too heavy to compete with the Skaters?

There is probably an 90% chance the boat would be if you were to pair it up w\a 4 engine skater both with compareable power. Would be a show worth watching. If we were to build the design today with current composites, and add some width to the tunnel
my comments would be tie those underware down if you'd like to keep em!!:D

That's pronounced.....Did-eee-Ay Pier-wo-nee.

Rest in Peace...... a sad and tragic loss.

I was (slightly) mistaken.......That "floating mistake" stayed upright for a race and a half.....rather than one half a race.
