Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
That price can't be right?
|
Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
Is it a missprint on the price or is it a scam.
Usually the scams dont have the owners name....this one does. Someone send him an email and see what comes back....if its a scam I say we get several bidders and jerk the guy around....see how long we can keep him on the hook....sounds like some good off season fun :drink: |
Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
phone number is a cell that is through XO communications which I have never heard of. Maybe they are some sort of pre-paid deal
|
Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
I'm pretty sure that's a scam - the pics of the boat were taken at my friend's dealership when he had that boat for sale several months ago. If he really were the seller, the moron should be smart enough to know that that was one of the Miami Vice 38 ZRs which, in some people's minds, is a selling point.

Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
They run scams like that all the time on eBay but they usualy get taken down within hours when they start getting reported. If you get 1 sucker in 100 tries, it's not a bad haul for a scumbag.

From: David Mauer [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, November 06, 2006 12:20 PM To: XXXXXXXX Subject: Re: Ad No. 996488 on www.usedboats.com Hello and sorry for the late response The boat is in perfect condition with a clear title, there are no mechanical issues whatsoever..it also comes with a trailer. my experienced Donzi tech has fully checked out this boat and gives it a special high rating. the problem is that I recently had to move to Texas where I got a new job.. and in the meanwhile I've found a nice house here but since my loan didn't get through i need to sell the boat in order to be able to pay the down-payment. this is a FAST sale forced by financial reasons! Boat is currently in San antonio, Tx. The price is $30,000 shipping costs included to any US location. If you are seriously interested in buying please email me your FULL NAME, COMPLETE ADDRESS, and PHONE # so we can start the arrangements! David |
Re: How to Nail this Guy ....

Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
Hey Guys - That was my 06 Donzi 38ZR, original boat used in the MV movie. The boat was sold to Lake George NY, months ago. And it sold for $25K, he must be trying to make $5K off the res-sale! Just kidding!
This is only about the 5th time this year my boats have be the source of a scam. Remember my Donzi 38Zr Lightning Strikes, for the same money.... If it is too good to be true, it is, DON"t send money you will loose it. Ebay is the worse for this. When we find these scams and contact ebay to remove them, they tell us there is nothing they can do or they will check into it. But never have they pulled the scam, they just want there listing fee. Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
Hi Mike -
Can I trade one of my 35 Outlaws for 5 of your $30,000 38 ZRs? I could probably supply one in Lightning Bay colors... -David THUNDER MARINE |
Re: How to Nail this Guy ....
