I have to admit. Todays second race was one of the most exiting I've ever seen or listened to.
On TV, webcast, tape, in person or otherwise.

I know "beggers can't be choosy", but we needed split screen or PIP to
watch both battles between Bud Select/Geico and Reliable/On the Chip.

Great stuff. (no pun intended) Can't wait til tomorrows races....

Anxious fan....

They both use fixed (non-steerable) surface drives.

The Bud Select/MTI uses Tri-max surface drives, with a single rudder

The Geico/MTI uses BPM surface drives, also with a single rudder

They're also in separate classes tomorrow. Extreme and Turbine Extreme.

The CRC/MTI, which is in the Extreme class with the Bud Select uses Merc 1075s and
Merc #6 drives, so it drags two steering skegs through the water instead of one.

Tomorrow will definitely be interesting for all the classes.

The BPM is an Arneson. Making it fixed does not change anything.

The Geico cat did look better in the rough water than the competition did.

Rik,

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that the BPM drive is an Arneson.

What does BPM stand for and why is it called that by most riggers and not an Arneson?

I did not see it anywhere on the website. Is it there and I just missed it?

Does it have approx. 7" of vertical trim compared to the Tri-Max at approx 3" of vertical trim, or am I wrong again?

You are very knowledgeable about your products and I
seem to get corrected and learn a lot when I speak with you.

That's a good thing.....

Really, we license them to make the copy. We supply the parts for them.

Nichols has the same drives also.

So, like I said BPM is not an Arneson.

I'm also with Geico on both trucks.
Haven't tried a boat yet.

Glad to hear they are supporting a race boat as a sponsor, and glad to hear the boat ran well.
Hopefully they also support PLEASURE boater's and Poker Runners with reasonable rates and good coverage.
