Bio- Diesel Boat World tour.
 

I was onboard this boat dockside in Boston today. It was great to talking with the young New Zealanders.They had some great stories including being shot at & boarded by the Columbian Navy.They are on quite the journey round the world with their Bio-Diesel boat.

I remember seeing that on Discovery Channel earlier this year. That's the coolest boat ever! :cool:

It would be great for them to break the record, and to do it on biodiesel too will open lots of eyes

I toured it at the FTL Show a few weeks ago. Cool design, awesome boat. I have tons of pics if it. The aroudn the world race starts next year. They are still looking for volunteers for some legs. I also think everyone shoudl use biodiesel.

love it now may be cummins will get of the ass and aprove 100%bio desel. i'm getting ready to start running a bio blend in my dodge . this ulsd fuel will ware out your pump and injectors so they say . :drink:

Technically, bio-diesel will NOT void any warranty. But there are no federal standards for biodiesel and many garage trash can brews with god knows what in them they may mess up the engine. As soon as there are federal standards, which are being worked on since this is the first and only administration to mandate alternative fuel, give tax credits and push for biodiesel, it will begin to be produced by bigger companies are more readily available.

Biodiesel is starting to get the attention of some rather large companies due to stringent NoX emission regulations with in the houston and california ports. If you wait just a little while longer there will be an industy standard for the fuel, by some well known fuel companies, and it can be tested for its validity. But right now there is still a very good chance that your biodiesel will end up polymerizing inside your engine after a year or two, (just ask the us military), I am pretty sure they lost a large number of diesel vehicles last year due to this type polymerization. But it will be a reliable fuel, as long as the lesser quality biodiesel doesnt ruin the market before it even starts.

i think willy nelson is big into bio desel and has his own fuel . :D
