I don't give Fountain props often but I do when I see something like this :eek:

I've been on this boat going out of Gov Cut in Miami and it's awesome. I have a triple engine 275 Verado version of this boat. It really handles rough water very very well.

Whats nice about them is if you break 1 or 2 engins it will still get on plane.

A quad 275 Verado Fountain 38TE (10'6" beam!) will run 80-82. A quad 2 stroke Merc 300xs will run 85-88mph. The Hooter boat pictured had quad Merc 250xs on it when I ran it and with 3/4 tank of fuel (about 325 gallons) and 4 people we did 82mph.

My boat has triple 275 Verado's and will run 73mph and cruise at 50-55 easy.

You have to remeber that this boat has a 10'6" beam and with some fuel on board weights around 12,000lbs.

The boat isn't that high out of the water. You can see the shadow about 2' below the bow and you can see the wave it just launch off from just out of frame. I don't think it's photoshoped.

Maybe right. It's an overcast day and the absence of (a clearly visible) shadow makes it hard to judge without that frame of reference. In any case, awesome photo.

Fountain does have some memorable running shots. I still remember that Znetix race boat shot that was used for ads and posters.

They have a CC version of the 37 in OB and I/O. I think Ocean performance has 1 or 2 on their site.

From the looks of the picture and the water around him, I'd say he's out in the real ocean (whatever that means :rolleyes: ) and some pretty rough water. :D

That is our boat. It will run 80-82. I think there is more in it, I can't trim it to full RPM, and still keep a controlled ride. at 82 it is planted, but I am trying new wheels next week, and hopefully can squeek a few more out of it.

at 60 1.2 mpg, and it holds 420 gallons. I think the outer motors are a bit high, so when you trim it for WOT, the outer two start to blow out a bit.
