Default Anyone boating out of Grand Haven this Friday?

Well I do have some thing to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving!! I got my motor back together and fired it this morning..
After a full day of turkey and fixins, I will be headed to GH tomorrow and will see how the motor work holds up. It should be a horsepower day!! and not too bad to boot. This will be the last horahh for the summer.. If anyone else is out there.. I will be on the river doing some testing and then maybe out front to play some..

Thanks
Dick

Have fun Dick....yesterday was Michigan's calmest day of the year at only 1.5mph winds. Today should probably be about the same with a high of 56*. If I didn't have my boat winterized I would probably be out there myself!

What a beauty day it was today on Lake Michigan!! I put it on the trailer running, so that is a good thing! Only bad thing is I have to winterize it now, instead of rebuilding it!! Where are those instructions for winterizing.. hmmmm.. Oh well it was a little sloppy out there for my small boat, but my son and I had a good time in the big water. We made several passes on the river and pulled the mufflers off to see if they are killing my power. I did not see a big difference in performance with them off. It did run a bit leaner, so I added some fuel to it and no gains. I did mangage to ruin my WB O2 sensor, must have sucked a bit of water up the pipe, idling back to the dock. We put the muffs back on and then went out front to play. I could only manage about 66mph or so out there. There were the rollers, but not bad for Nov 24, and some waves on top of them. The breeze was cold but the blood in my veins was nice and warm with the HP we were making.
I want to thank Jim V and Bob Madura for getting my parts and pieces. I also want to thank Trend Products for special building a set of push rods for me and making sure I had them Wednesday afternoon. They stopped a job and jumped on mine to get them finished so I would not have to drive over to Warren Mich to get them. Real stand up people!!!..

All in all a Great Day!! Nice weather, boat ran good and didnt break. What more could a guy ask for!!???
Now time to get back to work on everyones drives!! Thanks for your patience.

Dick

Hey Dick,

Its about time you have to actually winterize an engine. If you need any pointers, on where the anti-freeze goes, let me know.

Talk to you soon,

Vinny
