Ive got a buddy with one....a hull number below 10. Think it has HO's. Nice boat, but heavy. They make a ring-surface drive for the Yanmar powered versions.

The owner of Cobalt has a lake house on our lake, Grand Lake in Okla., he had one like this running around last summer, and it did Surprise a few of our vee bottom boat boys, not all by any means, but definetely embarrassed a couple! Cobalt builds a damn nice boat!

After hearing good things about Cobalt, I checked out the 343 during a boat show and I was impressed with the overall finish and detail work. I've looked at only one so far and thus cannot speak for all of their production, but they seem to build a really nice piece.

Are they really offering Yanmars with ring drive on that model? That is ZF Marine technology developed by Fabio Buzzi and a very interesting concept but I thought Cobalt offer only I/O power. I think the one I saw had Volvo diesels with duoprop outdrives.

I've never seen one with 575's! The interior is decent for that size range. I was in one a few yrs ago and the helm setup was actually better than what I thought it would be. Definitely unique styling, but Cobalt does make a good strong (and shiny!) boat

Re: Cobalt Sleeper

They do offer 525s but I heard this is the one and only they've done with 575s. I also heard that they had to do some modifications to let more air into the engine compartment. Any thruth in that?
