Looks nice but no boost numbers and who want to spin a big motor at 6000? I like to see that kind of power between 5300-5500 rpm. At 6k she won't live they way I drive them.

That motor could likely turn 7500 and live...would just need to be gone trough more often. If its put together right, it could turn 6000 pretty much all day...or until you were out of gas... :D :drink:

Re: Sweet Motor For A Single, 900+ hp

Its got the right stuff to turn 6000 rpm. But even at 5600 rpm its 897 Hp and at 5400 its 872 hp

Its still more than enough for most single applications.

If it was my motor I would lower the boost and run it at 5500 and it will last a long time and still make over 800 hp. Its a great buy for high quality parts and big HP

Re: Sweet Motor For A Single, 900+ hp

personally I always look at the peak torque numbers vs. the hp tq. and not just peak HP. With a peak torque number in the 4000K range that drops off steadily I don't know if the motor would be happy at 6K.

My motors made peak hp at 5800 but they like to turn 5200 in the boat because my torque is down low.

The motor is still within 5% of peak TQ @5600 though... :D A nice flat, broad tq curve.... :drink:
