If I remember, the King Sting boat ran some early Gale Banks turbo motors. It was really fast in its day...

Beats me....

You have no idea how wearying it can be having people tell you that they are building a copy.....or in really nauseating circumstances....an "improvement"....of your own original boats. This applies not only to us but to Cigarette, Magnum, Formula, Excalibur, Signature, and the FEW other truly original hulls......without whom there would not have been a "plug" to steal for all of the hundreds of wannabe's that came later. To this day I can see the true lineage....in almost every boat on the market.....and that saddens me......

the first 100 mph (according to the speedo back then) was in a Chris Cat on lake Travis in Austin TX back in the mid 80"s. It had 4 V/8 evinrudes on it. I've always wondered what happened to that boat. That is what got me hooked on go fast boats.
