Boat Cover Question?
 

I see that alot of the Outerlimits boats seem to have a fitted full cover that people leave on while towing. Are these exclusive to Outerlimiits or are they on the market? Any problems with towing with them on? Thanks

You can get them custom made, but they are big $. We had one on our old 37; they protect the boat extremely well but are a pain to take on and off.

Call Ryan Beckly.
He arranged to have one made for my AMT while it was down at his place getting the Vinyl redone when I bought it. I tow with mine all the time. I did get some scratches for the first ime on its last trip to LOTO although I think that was because the boat wasnt as tight as it could have been coming home.
The only thing I would change are the straps that go under the trailer. Instead of having a rigid (non-stretch) star I think I would rather use bungees that have some stretch to them.

Hailey is doing great....she had her first birthday last week on the 15th.

My thought is even if its straped down good its still going to flap or move back and forth and scrach the paint.

Congrads. We are still at the talking stages for #2. Melissa has a new job and it probably wouldn't go over that well this early. The sleds are a definate. Speak to you soon.

That is my thought, but some of those OL's have some expensive paint and I see alot with those covers.

Mine doesnt flap at all.
My issue is the cover ties down to the trailer. My trailer doesnt have a bow stop, so if Im not strapped down WAY tight the bow of the bounces independent of the trailer. Not much but alittle is all it takes. That is why I would prefer bungees to the trailer, that way it wouldnt be pulling on the cover as much.
Ive moved it back and forth to Florida, Canada, and Missouri and never had an issue other than this last trip. Its not deep and will buff out but if I had Chucks paint I wouldnt be happy.
Next long trip Im going to use bungees and go under the boat. It will be a pain in the azz to put on but that should fix my problem.
