Animalhouse, back to your original post............

Why was there 3' of water in the boat? Was it covered/shrink wrapped for shipping?

As noted above , this won't make the most stable fishin platform due to the narrow beam , BUT , Saber is building a 41 CC that SHOULD be a wave crushin, mile eattin machine for sure .... Stay tuned ...

They will be offering a CC version of the 28 thru 47 range once the deck molds are done ..... should be interesting !

Here is another fuel effecient, and fast alternative. It doesnt quite have the beam of the Fountain 38TE but has other attributes. Nice cabin to get out of the weather. Seats on the back that fold out, a complete unobstructed large area behind the helm, head has a walkin of over 6' with entrance on the side with dry/rod storage and so on. You can have it set up however you like. My partner is thinking of ordering one of these with twin bolsters behind each other (Like Warbirds 39 ) and a longer top that is enclosablable to the weather. It also accelerates like a freight train from 10-60 with the diesels. You could do a lighter layup like I did on my 4300, and now go with the 500hp Yannies vs the 440's. Between 75 - 80 mph. Good luck with the Fountain. Jeff

Here are a few pics of some 4300 CC's Nortech. They have a contract building various 4300 for the government, I believe they had 3 or 4 going at the time.

Not a CC but we are dealing with an 07 38 that the paint is peeling right off of on a freshwater boat. Check Your Paint!

I had a lot of paint peeling and chipping off my 36 Concept and I had major powder coat problems on the top of the arch and around the rail posts on the bow. I called Concept and stopped by on a business trip and they gave me a can of spray paint. Very poor paint job on that boat. I never had a problem with my 29 Fever and my 38TE Fountain has no paint or powder coating...thus no problems...solid white boat. I was the 1st in Tampa at my dealer to do this and now they have sold 4 more like mine.

Cig Gladiator, Spitfire's (?) boat in Miami had paint clearcoat peeling issues when new. He got rid of it.

Re: Fountain CC issues

animalhouse, I have Bravo 1 26 pitch props on my 2006 38TE with triple Verado 275's. Also the 2 outside engines have 1 mounting hole open at the top and the center engine has no mounting holes open at the top. Thus this being the 2 outside engines are raised 1 hole up from the lowest position and the center engine is at it's lowest position. This is exactly how my boat came from the factory.

I get a cruise speed at 4000rpms of 48+mph and a top speed on 50-75 gallon fuel load of aorund 72mph at almost 6150rpm. I have brushed a solid 73 too. On a hot Florida summer day with 6 people on board and both tanks almost full (around 375-400 gallons) I can hit around 68mph @ 6000rpm. With just my wife and I and our average of 250 gallons of fuel I hit 70-71mph anytime in just about any type of water.

A 28 pitch Bravo 1 unless it is thinned and labbed might be too big thus trouble planning off or hitting top speed in the recomended rpm range.

I hope this info helps you out.

see ya, Mike

Still under warranty. Take it to the dealer.
