New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club announces the addition of 3 new appointments to the NJPPC Planning Committee for the upcoming 2007 season!

Toms River, NJ, November 27, 2006 - The New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club (NJPPC) has recently appointed 3 existing NJPPC members to the NJPPC Planning Committee. The NJPPC Planning Committee headed by club President Dave Patnaude, meets regulary throughout the year and makes all major decisions that impact NJPPC. The Planning Committee plays a huge roll in schedule planning, event rule changes, new event ideas and most importantly how to execute all of the club’s events. The Planning Committee is also well balanced in regard to the Committee members and the types of boats that they own. This ensures that all members of NJPPC are fairly represented when event planning takes place. The Planning Committee currently has 12 seats filled by 20 members.

Charlie & Lois Amorosi Joe & Laurie Barbosa

Robert & Mary Ann Cleveland Robert Cline

Frank & Melissa Civitano Rick & Janet Engstrom

Pete Mazzo Brian Meade

Jerry & Diane Monroe Dave & Kelly Patnaude

Ray Patnaude Ray & Linda Schmalzigan

At the October Planning Committee Meeting, the committee voted unanimously to create 3 new seats on the Planning Committee. The new seats will be filled by the following NJPPC members:

Mike Intile – Owns Donzi 38zr
Mike has been a member of NJPPC since 2002 and has been a club sponsor since 2004. Mike is an avid performance boating enthusiast and has been a long time supporter of the club. Mike will become our new webmaster as well and will be responsible for all future club website updates.

“Bazooka Joe” Nasso – Owns 36 Concept Center Console
Bazooka Joe has been a part of NJPPC since the club’s inception. Joe also become a sponsor of NJPPC in 2003. Joe was a regular fixture on Greg Mazzo’s 32 Hustler for many years. He was the “team coordinator” as he was the one who always made sure the paperwork was in for the upcoming poker runs. Joe will be responsible for being the main point of contact for all new and prospective club members.

Tim Sharkey – Owns 28 Checkmate
Tim has been a member of NJPPC since 2001. Tim joined the club owning a 13ft Bullet that participated in all of our poker runs with that boat. His claim to fame was his first NJPPC poker run when he ran the offshore course in his 13ft boat when boats 20ft + turned away and stayed inside because the seas were too big!

Tim has also been the club’s “unofficial” photographer. As part of his appointment he will now officially become the club’s official photographer!

Please help us congratulate all of the new appointees! Their email addresses are:

Bazooka Joe Nasso [email protected]

About the New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club

The New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club (NJPPC) was founded in 1999 and has over 200 members. The NJPPC is a members-run club that’s charter is to provide its members with top quality Poker Runs and other exciting events. It enthusiastically welcomes a broad cross-section of performance powerboaters to join the club. Its schedule is planned considering both smaller and larger boats. Consequently, its membership spans from owners of 18’ to 50’ boats!

Distinct from other Poker Run organizations, the club chooses to limit the number of event participants to assure safety, promote camaraderie and to facilitate a well-run, enjoyable day for all involved. The limited number also affords access to the highest quality marine facilities such as Trump Marina Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The club has no profit motivation prompting it to host the biggest events – but it is strongly motivated to run the best events and in that way, everybody profits! NJPPC membership is required to participate in the club Poker Runs.

For further information please visit the club’s website at: http://www.njppc.com. NJPPC can be contacted via telephone at 732 674-2946, via email at [email protected] or via mail at: Dave Patnaude – President, NJPPC, 604 North End Ave, Toms River, NJ 08753.

The NJPPC sounds like a great organization. As the new guy in New Jersey, I think that I'll contact Dave P and get involved. Big thanks to Dave for financing two of my boats while in PA and to Frank for providing a new port for my Concept in NJ. I'm looking forward to joining and meeting everyone.
