Greg's boat is 75 ft longer than Tiger's and Greg sold Aussie Rules to Wayne Huizenga last year for 70 million.
These guys are neighbors on Jupiter Island about 10 miles from my house. Tiger spent 40 million gathering 12 acres stretched from the ocean to the intracostal. Now he has to build the castle to put on the land.

Norman and Woods have sold their boats and I don't think they have replaced them. Ellison still has Pelorus and Le Grand Bleu and owns another megayacht as well.

Greg built his as an investment and now he needs to split his investments with his soon to be ex wife.

Tiger just built his 155 Christiansen named Privacy, saw it last month in the ICW. Boat looks bigger than 155 ft but then again I was in a 15 Whaler!

Larry Ellison owns Ronin as well.

People on that level are already designing the next ship when they take delivery of a ship. :)

He also filed suit against his builder claiming "violation of privacy".

Cat,

I could care less about TW yachts but I saw it in Jupiter, FL a month ago and he owned it in June at the US Open so you may have this boat confused with his last one ( a 120 Hatteras
I believe)

Re: Living the High Life

Ellison does not own Pelorus or Le Grand Bleu. They are both owned by Roman Abramovich. Actually, Le Grand Bleu was recently sold or given away to one of his close associates, Eugene Shvidler. Le Grand Bleu was initially built for Craig McCaw.

Roman Abramovich also owns Ecstasea (282') and Sussurro (162'), both fast yachts with gas turbine power built by Feadship and both with interior styling by Terence Disdale who also designed the interior of Pelorus. Roman is rumoured to be building another massive yacht at the moment, with a price tag of 200+ million. The good thing is that the guy actually has taste and all yachts that he owns are masterpieces.

Ronin does belong to Ellison but she is for sale (at US$ 39 750 000). His main yacht is Rising Sun, a 452' Lurssen built in 2004 and designed by Martin Francis. Larry actually regrets making her so big as he cannot get into any of the nice ports around the Med. It's either on anchor or he must sleep in the commercial ports, next to tankers and container ships. A bit of a bummer then...

BTW, when Huizenga bought Greg Norman's yacht, the asking price was US$ 55 million. He renamed the yacht Floridian and took off the sportfisher in the back because he wanted a full-size helipad instead. The yacht is now for sale at US$ 70 million. Needless to say, the yacht is worth nowhere near that figure. It simply does not have the pedigree and sophistication of a Lurssen or a Feadship.
