Default My winter project

I finally finished my winter project and I am going to mount it on my Boat tommorrow.I made a Tunnel tab out of 3/8 inch 6061. It is 38 wide and 26 long. The braces for the cylinders are made of 6061 1x2 Aluminum all fastened with SS counter hex head bolts. The cylinders are OMC cobra.I had to wet sand by Hand down to 1500 grit.

The hinge was made by cutting out 3 inch sections of 1 and 1/4 6061 Aluminim rod and drilling a 5/8 inch hole(actually 4 thousandths over) and inserting a 5/8 inch SS rod.The pins for the cylinders are also 5/8 inch SS
