Anyone have source for T-53 turbines?
 
looking for 2 t-53 turbines for a project, have checked 4 or 5 places they vary so much, looking for a good marine turbine source. thanks

I was told once about a hundred dollars a horse power installed. Don't know what it would be over the counter.

Tracy at whispering turbine quoted me 90K for a pair
and they were the marinized version.

Nobody at the time could compete with that price.

whispering turbine was one I spoke with, they were very knowledgable and yes competetive, range from 35k-150k each. turbine marine probably the best but also most expensive.

I've done 2 deals with Ted McIntyre at MTT turbine. He is out of town until Dec. 7th. Good guy and good to work with. Always been good to me. 337-280-0298

I would change that prop to a 5 blade lab finished.




Really the t53 l13 b is close to 1600 hp.
and at idle you can actually stop the output shaft to shift.
That's why most use calipers on a rotor coupled to the shaft. :cool:

I admit TurbineMarine is on the cutting edge. However When I was looking he told me that the rigging I was using was all outdated and his clientele didn't care what they spend. Most likely the reason he is so expensive.
