I dont think its an issue with that particular boat, but I do know of several people with fast boats (really) that are getting rid of them after all the accidents this year. Put the fear into them. Never thought about the fact that mechanical failure at 125+ could be a BIG  problem. So, to answer your question, yes, I have heard several people say that.

Did they ever stop to think they don't have to drive WFO all the time?

Trick, thanks for passing your own judgement, but who said they run wide open all the time. I think most people can understand that wether you run fast a majority of the time or only once in a while, accidents happen. There is no reason anyone should have a half million dollars tied up in rigs caple of running speeds near 150 if they have decided that just dont want to go that fast anymore. Plus, lets be realistic, most boats that capable, just arent set up to run speeds well below 100 comfortably, economically, or mechanically.

Regards, Mark

local guy w/20 Cig.for sale says to me --"wife says boat is way too fast for her, gotta sell it". I just stared at him for a few seconds until he realized how stupid that sounded. He muttered something about "I'm getting too old for go fasts................" Guess he forgot that the throttle has a lot of different poositions.......
