And no, I wouldn't compare it to the OL GPS event.

Here you had a Fountain sponsored event "The Worlds" with the best timing equipment money can buy, and the organization shows averages speeds almost 50 mph less than what is being advertised by the event's sponsor?

You don't see that a bit conflicting? :confused:

If they hit 170 in Key West it must have been a sight to see...

I can't imagine it was possible to do inside the harbor because they have to turn left and running that kind of number on the way out you still have rollers coming in from offshore that would not make it too easy to do either...

Shark, I am not flaming Bobbye at all I was just saying maybe she got some wrong info or missunderstood the info on the 44' boat...maybe the boat is really 44'...I nor you really know because neighter of us have measured it. I really don't care anyway if the boat is 44 or 47 or 45 or 46 feet long. I talked to Steve Miklos who is less of a Fountain fan than you are and he said he was highly impressed with the boat and team. He said the boat was faster than anything else and it looked very fast on the course.

I like the look of the beak on Fountains. You can tell instantly what boat is a Fountain on the water. I like all boats and only a couple I would never own and OL is not one of them. I like your OL's. I am a OL fan because they are being competitive in racing and I love that. Actually I really want a ride on a 38 Cig. I hear so much about them and I love the looks and details of Cig's and I think I'd like to own one someday.

I really do not know who rigged "On the Chip"...Fountain built the boat though:D
