Are you referring to Dan Schwartz long time boat racer and APBA Inspector?

Re: Fountain New Kilo Record by Miami Show!
Yeah it does get a little confusing. I have not seen this months issue of Hotboat or Powerboat. I just bought at the airport the lastest issue of Boating and there are 12 full pages of adds in the front of the mag. Sharkey, now you've forced me to go read all this crap!
OK done reading...I would assume Fountain put the same adds in all the mags but I can't find anything about a 44' Fountain. On the page with the picture of the Panasonic Race boat they did mention during the race they went 150mph avg speeds with burst's to 170mph. I will try and find Hot Boat at the mag section in Borders tonight. Hot Boat and Powerboat have been hard to find lately in Borders and Books a Million.

That's not the only conflicting story....
Fountain Ad in Feb's Hot Boat Mag:
"The 47 Fountain on ...."
".....World Champion in Super Vee Unlimited and garnered first overall, averaging speeds of 150 mph with bursts approaching 170."
"While one certain boat builder continuously makes fraudulent claims of speed...."
Same Magazine and edition page 98:
"Driven to Perfection"
Mike Seebold and David Knight drove the 44' Fountain to capture the World Championship for Super Vee Unlimited averaging 93.78 mph, 103.21 mph, and 100.66 mph during three days of competition.
So which is it guys ??? A 44 or a 47 ?
150 average or somewhere around 100 ???
If Fountain wasn't there to see OL run, how can he prove they didn't reach their mark ?
Don't worry though, he will get to see the OL speed this season.....
Destin was just a preview of what is yet to come....

FeverMike,
It is on page 98 of Hot Boat under the coverage of the Key West Race... :
Same Magazine and edition page 98:
"Driven to Perfection"
Mike Seebold and David Knight drove the 44' Fountain to capture the World Championship for Super Vee Unlimited averaging 93.78 mph, 103.21 mph, and 100.66 mph during three days of competition.
My guess would be Bobbye Kenyon may have wrote the article. And she knows her stuff...

I use to work with a pathological liar.... Lot's of people believed him, except me... Even my boss believed him but eventually it caught up with him and he got fired....
