Boat rental in Key West

Has anybody rented a boat in Key West? We are looking for a boat to cruise around in the first week of April 07

Thanks for the info on the Key House and Galleon. I went to their web sites. They do not have info about the boats. The site said to see the booth at the hotel. I will keep them on my list if I can't find anything before we get there.
A few years ago we rented a 27 Fountain from HydroThunder and had a great time. They don't rent the Fountain anymore. I was hoping someone found a good place to rent boats.

Another option may be http://www.garrisonbightmarina.net/boat_rentals.htm a regular working marina in kw. I have kept my 20' Robalo here for a few years now and like the place very much. There rental equipment is very nice as are the people. A 21' KW would be my choice. Nothing better than a nice ride to stock island. And then around KW(get a chart).

Be sure to check out the boat before you plunk down your money. Years ago, we rented a boat in Marathon. It was a pos, with algea hanging twelve inches long off the hull, got out to Sombereo Reef, and the damn thing wouldn't start. The anchor wouldn't hold, we shot off the flare to try to get a tow back in. The flare went about three feet. We finally flagged down another boat, and got towed in just before a storm. When we got back to the rental place, we were wanting our money back. The guy cleaned and tightened the battery terminals, and it started up, so he said he wasn't refunding any money.

Cuda, I will try to find a place that rents boats that are used a lot. Maybe they will be in a little better shape. Thanks
Poo, what is the outer mole. Is this along the concrete wall on the waterfront? Thanks for the advice.

Give Hydro Thunder a call 305 923-5484. They work out of the Hyatt as well as the Ocean Key House and really take good care of their equipment.
