Question Anyone try a 5 blade on a single cat?

Any info on how they work compared to bravo1 4 blades, and also how much you went up or down in pitch when you swapped props?

Just for fun I tried a 19" High 5 on my Baja 272. One heck of a hole shot..top end about 35mph at 5000 RPM. Could have gone much higher RPM.. Was fun though!!

35mph musta been one hell of a hole shot

If you want to hear something amusing, my neighbour has a formula 242 (~1985) with a 23in pitch high five.... oh ya... and the boat has a tired 350 pushin 260hp... he gets outta the hole fast.... lol but the boat only does about 30 what a fool...

Garry Did Lavey take care of your problems? Are you just trying to squeeze that last little bit of speed out of it before you have to goto a 540 or a 572? Good luck in your quest. Forrest
Did you ever get a TV?

Forrest

I am looking in to getting on plane easier so the lady can feel more comfortable driving(as well as my self). If we pick up speed thats just a bonus

Ok I know somebody has to have tried the 5 blades out there.

We did get a tv. Pioneer 58 widescreen hdtv all that jazz. We bought from costco, seemed like a good deal.

Try contacting Hydromotive. They are now producing a 5 blade.

Talked with Hydromotive and they dont know for sure if the prop will work or not. 1100 is a lot of money for a prop if it doesnt work.
