What kind of boat is that? He sure looked like he had it trimmed to the moon!

could have been...

I've watched it quite a few times now, & everytime it just sends chills down my spine. Me being new to performance boating, & the owner of a Donzi 26ZX, seeing that does make me wonder what I've gotten myself into. I've been boating for over 12 years, but have always owned run a bouts, but I've always boated within my experience level. My wife watched it, she just looked at me & said...."We're not going to be going that fast are we?"...I will always boat within my experience level, & I do plan on getting plenty of seat time before I take my family out this summer...Again, very tragic....

After watching this many times I feel that something broke he was on the throttles intill the last time he went airborn does not sound like he hit the limiters though As soon as he came down he was off the throttles and boat hooked he was not in a turn so it was not a spin.I don't think that he was knocked out of his seat because the throttles were hit once when the boat started going over so he had to be in the seat at that time.Either a steering ram or tie bar or both.He also did appear to be way trimed out with no tabs.

Port side trim tab perhaps stuck in on position as he may have been lowering the tabs?
Sure looks like it grabbed hard, on top of having the bow steer upon re-entry. They just had all the wrong combinations come together for that kind of speed....

Tough to watch....
