Once again, I love merc but that is eye opening!!! I hope this brings out some serious competition for fuel economy. I have to give Ilmor two thumbs up. Everything I have read about them makes me believe they are a company on the way up!!!!

Me Too!!!! Competition is good for all of us!!!!! Are they re-inventing the whell on this project? Meaning is there drive going to be something all new or is it following along with the norm?

Ilmor is developing their own drive. It probably will not be in Miami according to my sources a month ago. However it may be released in the summer. I believe they have more than one drive. As always, they will not release it until they are certain that they are 100% bulletproof as with their engines
I will make a call tomorrow and get any kind of update on what we might expect.

I assure you that they are a force to be reckoned with. It's the Penske way so if you know anything about Roger Penske & the way he does business the rest speaks for itself. Stand up guy & Ilmor is a stand up company. Penske attracts good people, having a great product is one thing but having the people to support it is another. Ilmor Engineering has it all! I can say this with confidence from both a personal & professional level.
