What boat was Dirk Pitt driving?

Anyone know what kind of boat they (Dirk and Al) blew up in the beginning of the movie, "Sahara"?

Cool boat. A big one to have jet pumps and running diesels no less.
Which brings up a point....the "Panama" explosion setup would never happen with diesel fuel.

Well lets just say they used a bit of "artistic licence" in that film :drink:

"Used a bit of "Artistic License""??

I was actually a bit disappointed with the movie. I'm a big Cussler fan. Seems like they went to the generic big hollywood movie template. Generic explosions, generic sidekick, etc....only thing lacking was the generic cute kid like they butchered the Blues Brothers with........

I WAS diggin' that boat tho :)
