"Blueprinting" an offshore hull is really just straightening the running surface and removing any "hook".

I built a rotisserie and rotated my hull 180 degrees to do mine.

Extremely labor intensive!

and just to add you also straighten and sharpen the edges of the keel and strakes,,sometimes includes adding more strakes to the hulls bottom..

This is good Info! Well worth bringing back from the dead! My dad did this to his 87 IMP. To us it was a great cheap way to a (heavy) performance boat without the huge initial cost of the big names. I know he used a $hit ton of acetone. I was too young to remember exactly how he did it but i'll ask. Pretty sure no material was added just did a lot of sanding to remove the hook. He ran very wet in the front plus his x-dimension was too high to begin with.

Just remember that some manufacturers specifically design hook or rocker into their running surfaces for optimum performance depending on the traits of the hull.

if its a huge hook use 3m under water fillers.. it does not have ro be 3m brand i believe duratec also makes some fillers..you can also mask off a area if the hook is less that 40 mil and use spray on dueatec vinylester blue priler/filler..stuff goes on like peanut butter lol...
