Re: ny boat show/ filthy fountains
speaking of bayliner...
how 'bout a pop-quiz?
which production boat manufacturer has the most bang for buck "value"
overdone, over-saturated
advertising campaign
and stays afloat (well, OK after the bail-out)
by pushing volume, volume, volume...
and has dealers dropping in and out constantly
sounds like bagliner...but it's not!

Re: ny boat show/ filthy fountains
how was all that Merc $ and ownership % disguised as something prettier?
I remember all the propaganda about the reasoning and "benefits"
#1 being a huge influx of much needed CASH to pay the bills
how about the 65' debacle, racing expenditures, a couple of smaller failed projects, and a couple years of poor sales almost putting Fountain Powerboats into bankruptcy?
Merc/Brunswick just happened to want to buy into Fountain at that critical time...
what a coincidence
do I have this all wrong?
