Re: Turbine Cat Drive Instillation Help Needed!!!
Call John Cosker @ Mystic Powerboats, he has designed and rigged quite a few turbine powered cats and v-bottoms. His office # is 386-736-2247.
Good luck,

The boat is an aluminum boat made by the same company that fabricated the cougars, I will give them a call see if they can help.

Rik
I have temporally set up the drive on the back of the boat to show you the stern tube angle and prop height how does this look?
I spoke to turbine marine they said a good stating point would be a prop hub height of 2.5" above the inside of the sponsons with a sterntube angle down of around 3-6 degrees.

Turbines are a lot softer on drives than big diesels or supercharged petrol's. If you check the chart they advise you call for turbine applications.
I have run Arneson drives on all my boats over the years many of which engine torque has far exceeded Arneson recommendation, to date I have never had one fail they are a bulletproof drive system simple but super strong.

Don't mean to hijack, but was Jet Set running as often as usual this past summer? In past years, I saw him just about every weekend on the bay. This summer, I never saw the boat once. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen the boat in person with the new paint.

Any idea what size fuel tanks he has on board that thing must be burning at least 200gph at full tilt.
