I was in Jax the MTI was on pump gas.The fountain never ran better than 147 ALL DAY and it did blow the motor on the way back. I'm positive that if everyone would have been informed that it was a race it would have been a different story. There is no doubt the fountain race boats haul azz and that Reggie has done alot for the sport, but sooner or later you need to learn it's all hype and propoganda and that a vee stands no chance against a cat in FLAT water with equal power. Do you think Reggie has the nerve to show up in Jax next year?

they called the beak out in jax,and it did run better than 147. it just ran 147 to beat the cats.

cats are flat water efficient hulls, but in the ruff there done. and again no other vee can come close to the beak. period.

If we all know, then why even start such a silly thread??

gatorone said it best, reason to post is because I got exact speed numbers on both boats with same power and wanted to put it to bed finally, I'd like to see the fountain run in 7-9 footers also. SR was not on 1550 by the way at Jacksonville, information is power.Neither was the fountain

What performance boat could really run WOT in 5+ footers, honestly a real 5 footer is absolutely huge!! Personally, I would rather be in a 46 Skater than a 47 Fountain in rough water.
