Electric Bolsters?
Since Wally was asking about Sitting or Standing.....I would like to know from those who have the electric bolsters the following.
Thanks Jeff |
I adjust my electric bolsters many time depending upon the water conditions.
However, I NEVER half them half up, biut sometimes I have them half down. :D :D :D :D I would most definatly get them again. Nort (aka Universal Chaos) :D :D :D |
In our Fountain they are either up or down. They are a nice feature, especially if you ever had the manual ones and you are looking down on the side trying to find the hole to put the lock pin in to hold the seat bottom up. If you want to stand hit the button, if you get tired and you want to sit, just hit the button.

I've got hydraulic bolsters on mine with a button like on an airplane seat. Push the button and push down on the seat to lower it, hit the button, and it comes up on it's own. Not as convenient as elec. bolsters, but better than having to lift it up when running like a full manual one. I hardly ever have the seat all the way up, but will put it at a 30 deg. angle down if I want to sit. It's just more comfortable that way for me for long runs. Otherwise, I usually have it all the way down.
If I were buying and had the choice, I'd get electric. |
Kind of funny that when you reply to this post, it says "Sit tight, we're taking you back to electric bolsters"
|
Jeff I use mine quite a bit, half up, half down and anywhere in between they are solid as a rock. Once you have them, you'll never want to be without them.
Charmaine and I are heading down to the Chicago show on Friday, 7 months pregnant and she's still a trooper. Maybe we'll see you there. |
If you have little ones, make sure you have a switch somewhere to disable them. A friend of mine had his daughter loose a finger playing with the rocker switches.

I hate electronics.... all day this is not working, that is not working, my laptop crashed, I have to get up to turn my tv on... Oh sorry I got side tracked there. I have heard these things to be quite reliable. This always suprised me for some odd reason, but I still like manual.

Oh yeah............and you triple postin Post Ho.
:D :D :D :D |
I use my electric bolsters all the time. They are really solid in my boat. The mechanics are quiet and responsive. I will have them on my new boat. On most Donzi's they are a standard feature. The 33+ZX models also have the electric foot rest as a standard feature. My wife really enjoys having the electric Bolsters as well.
