Must be Rossford. I went to HS there. So did GlassDave, but he was a couple years before me.
I grew up at that Marina on my Dad's boats, then wound up having mine there for a few years before I moved away.
I loved the place.
They were always having festivals and things going on in the park.
There were many times I went down to the marina, and never even made it to my own boat. Wound up running into friends and just hanging out, grilling brats, and drinking beer.
Good, fun marina - and yeah, cheap for dockage, plus the protective seawall.
I miss the river.

OMG! Thanks for putting things in perspective there Nort!!

I'm paying just under $10 per foot for my high and dry indoor storage. I think wet slips are going for about the same around here.

Thinking of moving over, lower price, better service, nicer slips.

April 15th - Oct. 15th = $5700. Has to be paid in full in December prior to reserve your spot. Otherwise it has to be paid in full prior to the 15th, no monthly fees available. I think they have a two payment option but it's a couple hundred more.

Dry winter storage is another $2K or so but I keep mine on the trailer at the house for the winter.

I could buy a dually for $50K and trailer it all the time but the cost/benefit for a $50K truck that's only used for towing I can't make sense of.. :( If I used it for business I would buy one.

I think if you check theres a lot of used nice shape trucks out there, I gave up we had racks and the guys were banging up the keels of some boats mine was one. they would say you most of hit something and thats why we I have insurance they droped 2 boats in one yr:eek: not covered by them they say. I am back to trailer time:D

i dont trust racks. that situation scares me. ill trailer and drop when i need. at least if something happens it was my fault and i can live with that.
