Yes, its a money order,cashier's check,etc from a CDN bank payable in U.S funds. Bank drafts are checks drawn directly on the bank itself and are almost as good as cash because banks have the coin to cover the check; since the payee gave the amount on the draft into his banks account.

You may want to call the bank it was issued from in Canada to ensure that it's real.
