What would you rather set up your boat for?
Would loosing 3-5 mph top end for much beter acceloration from 3500 up be worth it to you guys?

Re: What would you rather set up your boat for?
Depends on the top end. If I was going from 95 down to 90, not a big deal. Going from 75 down to 70 would not be worth it.

Top end is not a factor, rough water offshore conditions are a must for me......

Re: What would you rather set up your boat for?
really depends on where you boat, I boat at LOTO and only go maybe 10-20 miles in a day, and it's so rough a good mid range cruise is the most important. top speed for 95% of the boats is unattainable in weekend water conditions,

Also, what size boat and what drive? There's noth'in like a snappy throttle on a smaller boat, but could cause drive problems on something larger.

Re: What would you rather set up your boat for?
My boat would be a little faster with a differant prop but I like the better cruse speed from my 5 blade sence my average weekend cruse is 100 miles min. My set up now will give me 49 to 53 depending on tide flow at 2800 to 3000 RPM and a 101 with 5 girls a 100gal's.Over that I'am not fast enough for the big boy's anyway. There is a lot of boats under a 100 to play with to have fun a make friends.
