Lake Cumberland Dam Problems

Have all of you out of state boaters been keeping up with the problems at wolf creek dam? the lake will be 42 feet below summer pool for the whole summer due to a leaking foundation. the local news says 40 of the 48 ramps will be out of the water. the corps and the state is trying to find funds to lengthen some of the ramps to save the season.

Re: Lake Cumberland Dam Problems

the lake averages a little over 100 feet deep and has a max depth of about 300. there will still be plenty of water......................if you can get to it. it will still cover over 13000 acres.

I Thought I Read Still 35000 Acres But Getting To Them Might Be A Problem, Saw A Picture Of The Falls And The Party Spot Will Have To Be Relocated, 76 Falls Will Be A Campground With A Lot Of Emptys On It

i stand corrected, it will reduce the size of the lake by 13000 acres to about 35000 acres. still plenty of water but again, you have to get to it.
