Arizona Boaters, We Need Your Help!
 

Recently, a group of boaters, fishermen, outdoorsmen and others concerned about the environment were lamenting that not too long ago, Lake Pleasant was appropriately named – it was a PLEASANT place to sail your boat; to take the kids fishing; or to simply enjoy the Great Outdoors. But today, Lake Pleasant isn’t all that “Pleasant.” It is too busy and too dangerous!

And while the lake is already too busy and too dangerous, this group of concerned citizens learned that the the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and Maricopa County are attempting to build ANOTHER marina – Scorpion Bay Marina. This new marina will increase traffic on the lake by about 68% - on an already congested and dangerous lake. It is too much!

Accordingly, this coalition of boaters, fishermen, outdoorsmen and others concerned about the environment have banned together to form the Protect Lake Pleasant Coalition. We are imploring Congress and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to STOP SCORPION BAY MARINA.
