38 Lighting vs 388 Huster? Whats the ride difference between the two. Pros and Cons on both please. Thanks in advance for the info.

The slingshot will have a much bigger feel to it. It has alot more freeboard and a much larger cabin. All depends on what your looking for in a boat.

Meaning Bigger, you would think it would ride better than a fountain in rough Lake water, (meaning LOTO), is that right?

I am no Fountain guy but I hear they change the bottom in 2005 on the 38's. Before I bought my 2001 Hustler I looked at the 2000-2001 38 Fountains. In that year the 42 were faster because of the newer better bottom.

The Hustlers have not change bottoms any.

I'll stay out of the ride and handling discussion because my experience is that this is very much down to personal preferences, in other words go out on both of them and decide which one you prefer. Fountain should be a bit faster.

However, I don't think there is any doubt that Hustler is a superior product in terms of quality and craftsmanship. The finish on the Hustler is much better, it's a comparison between a boat that is as production as they get and what is largely a custom product.
