Did you really schedule time to have a second sea trial? I find it hard to believe that Marc would have left you with the boat if you didn't pay for the boat in full. I also find it hard to believe that you would have wired/handed off money before hand if there really was a second sea trial dependent on sale.

Did you sign a sales agreement and slip money under the door?

Since Marc wasn't there I have to assume that you wired the money to him beforehand and he already had a signed sales agreement therefore you probably had no intention of meeting with him.
