New member saying Hello

Hey guys and gals, just wanted to say hello. Been looking for a good forum that wasnt all outboards for awhile now.

Little background if you care.

On my second boat, went from a 19.5 footer openbow to a 241 Liberator with the King Cobra and a 460. Grew up on Michigan's largest inland lake as a kid just dying to own a Liberator. Finally got my wish last summer.

Just your typical gear head, own a Camaro that I mess with all the time, figured it was time for some water fun.

Thats it, call me Q :D

Usually I am either on the wall in Grand Haven, or at Hardy Dam goofing off. But with my new job location in Holland, I might just have to use the renta slips in Lake Mac on a Thursday so I am in the water when work ends on Friday :D

Ill take a gps speedo please!!!! How are you q. I had the same "fever" for a liberator, think I was about 8 or 9 when my parents neighbor drove in with one... it was at that moment I was hooked on the look and sound of performance boating.

Welcome Q! Lots of members in your area. I'm across the lake, Milw.

Don't get close to WrinkleBalls...he likes to touch man legs at the dinner table. He also enjoys sticking his hands in your mouth too. BeWare.

BINGO....a guy down my street had one and I use to be able to pick out its exhaust note from a block away from the lake. Its funny how stuff like that sticks with you as you age.

If the gate hasn't closed behind you yet, RUN. If it has welcome to the assylum.

Welcome, there are a few OSO members that run out of the Wharf in Grand Haven, there also a few 24 Lib.'s there as well. Good place to rack store your ride.

Re: New member saying Hello

Yeah, I have been tossing the idea of racking it this summer actually. I hate the constant trailering. Usually I am in Grand Haven early in the season, and I will finish up the season at Hardy.

Any place you recommend Nykamp?

Give the Wharf a call, they do a nice job. You can also walk in to town from there if you want, they really did alot to fix up the marina last summer, they also have a good service department.

I'm actually thinking of coming over to see your side this year. I heard tell of a tiny island with a party a few times a year that might be worth the fuel.
