Guys, guys, lets get back to the facts here. I was just asking a few questions on the integraty of the "Ettoare" boat. I've heard alot (pro and con) about the hull. We are looking at several different boats for the 2003 season and I think the hull has alot to offer but I've been listenting to you guys for insight, not to get into a pissing match.
What are your thoughts on what needs to happen to this design to make it work?? Dave, F2-07 [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: DJD ] |
Just tuned in to this thread....Ryan B- One of the better personal attacks Ive seen here in awhile . Greg R is right,if you got things like that to say why dont you personally email him. sheesh

DJD:
Good point.... I have spent a lot of time watching raw footage of the Ettore Boat and other Extremes run, as well as seeing them in the water in racing conditions. They have a very, very difficult time turning, when you roll it up on the chine, it does not stick, it falls back to center.... violently at times. Every one has rolled and sunk in varying conditions, all with what I consider to be very quaified people at the controls. The Teague boat and the Ettore #1 and #2 boats both had very significant bottom design changes AFTER they got the Boat from Mark Spates (Estreme Boats Foundre/Builder). Mark is maybe one of the most talented laminator's / fabricators out there, but this boat, Designed originally by Michael Peters just seems to have problems that are worst case, "unfixable", or at least have not been fixed as of this time, and a lot of very qualified, very smart people have tried to fix them. mark knows its a problem, and he is trying to improve it, but so far, it has proven to still be a problem. The Ettoree Group is trying very hard, Weisman Drives have helped in keeping the rear-end stuck instead of coming around to the front in the turns, and much better straight line speed, but they are still dialing and not competative as of yet, with more bottom changes going on right now in So. Calif.perhaps they will see some fruit at some point, but the cost has be astronimical... one boat thrown away, numerous re-riggs, etc. Safety was thoght to be unparalled in the Extrme but after the Ettoree stuff and winsheild/canopy failure in KW, now I'm not sure. I personally examined the boat the next day, I am told that Mark says the windows were put back in with incorrect tension on the bolts after removal for the custom paint-job. Super V has been completly dominated by Fountains with #6 drives and proper power since the class 1st began. Nigel Hook had moderate success with the Scarab, but not when any credible competiton was around and I don't think you could get another boat like Nigels even if you wanted one, which, given its performance, you shouldn't. I'm not a giant Fountain fan but they have earned the recognition in that class as "the boat to beat" My $02 GR |
Hello Gang,
I'm pleased to see some constructive talk about this boat and we appreciate the good things people are saying about our drives and our inline package. As much as I wanted to test this past year, we had to get in 3 races to be able to run the Worlds in KW. That was the goal, and we made the best of what we had to work with in the short amount of time we had. Since this was the first attempt at the inline setup, we took a stab at it, and judging from some of the handling issues we had just in a straight line, we didn't get it perfect. This is a new and innovative program and everybody involved knows that. Mike Smahlik is behind us 100% and that is all that matters. I believe that we have the best Super Vee ever, and it will only be proven on the race track. One of the things against us is we only have one boat running the inline package. If we had another boat, a different one but with the same inline package, then once they ran back to back, one could then sit back and make intelligent assumptions about what works and what doesn't. Since we don't, all these opinions flying around don't mean anything. Tank, Nice shot by your girlfriend, thanks! But hey, if you think that maybe what is wrong with the package is the inline motors, well back up your statement with some reasoning, maybe you are on to something that we have missed- you never know. Please don't just rip off statements like that- you guys ought to know me by now! Gary, Bob Teague has been working on his boat for a long time now, and we were almost 4 minutes clear of him on the 4th lap in Ventura! He runs Extreme class with blown motors, so he should have been in front of us! With all the experience he has with that boat, he still swaps ends. I would hardly say his boat is running perfect. I also heard his reasoning for not running fast was he was selling the boat. Doesn't make much sense to run a boat that you are selling in water like we had that day. Boats never lauch the same way twice from what I've seen. Sometimes they fly like the space shuttle, sometimes they land on their ass and rip the drives off. For the most part, this Ettore boat lands on it's rear- we know that, and we'll adjust that. It won't cost the Ettore team alot of money to do so either. Fixing the hull, well that's another story. GRRRRR, :) It is true that Mark thinks the windshield was not properly fastened. Regardless if it was or not, when he moved the windshield back 3 feet, he should have moved the bulkhead back with it. There was no support for the windshield where it meets the deck and when it stuffed, the water caved the canopy in. In this case, there is NO excuse for not doing a proper job. Enough said on that. Now some little know facts about our Ettore friends to help with some of the confusion. Mike Smahlik's father-in-law was named Ettore. Ettore was a window washer and he is the one that invented the squeegee. I can't remember his last name was, but he sold his company with the last name. When he bought it back, he was not allowed to use the last name for some reason, so he renamed the company Ettore. Mike loves powerboat racing and he is doing it purely for the enjoyment, not the exposure. However I think he will be pleased to know that Mr. Offshore bought a squeegee because he recognized the name. A good product no doubt. Again, we appreciate the comments, good and bad (I think). I am working on a new Ettore page on my website with detailed pictures of the boat from the ground up. It's not up yet, I will post something when I'm done. Good night all. Chris Weismann ps. while I am used to seeing our name spelled every which way, here is a simple way to remeber how to spell it. WE IS MANN. Two N's for Pat and I. ;) |
Chris,
Reply appreciated. G |
Chris, I wasn't rippin on the set up bro. I was saying maybe the inline motors had to do with the way it was running, and addressing some of the peoples negative comments about the boat. As you can see from my previous post I feel that Extreme is a well built boat as attested by the stuff. Your boat re-amerged mostly intact, enough to drive back to the dock. Most boats would amerge bow-less with that much of an "extreme stuff" (no pun intended) :D
Of course I'm just a spectator. What the **** do I know! :D ;) Tank |
Tank,
Please excuse me, I understood your post. No harm done I hope  I just gave those negatives to my friend to see about making a poster out of the "space shuttle flying shot". There was also a pic of the 46' extreme cat launching off a big swell. In that picture you can see a huge splash coming from beyond the swell. That was the Ettore boat landing! Pretty incredible to think we were leading cats thru those swells. I'll have to post that on my website as well. Great shots. |
So the Ettore boat led the race?
|
boatless, I just got off the phone with with Scot Conrad,he said that they were hosed down in the corner by Honker Cut. He was that close to the lead. It sputtered and continued. He was 100 ft off by the end of the 1st lap. 3rd overall 2nd to 4th laps, he let Furgison by and so on. So tecnically no.
pat W. |
Chris, looking forward to seeing that poster. You guys going to send an 8x10 or something back with the negs? :D
Tank |
GO stickerboy GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont let him talk that way about you bro......hes a wantabeeeeeee himself...(flies in planes in full race uniform?) what up with that...Blamed Archers rig job on why his 28 Scarab didnt win races...So he sells it to Danny mac and gets SPANKED by his old boat......lets here all the storys now..
|
Cigarette 1,
First of all I dont know how you can say Bob Teagues boat runs well. It has spun out multiple times and also rolled once. His boat has not been fast enough to get out of its own way, in Ventura Team Ettore was THREE MINUTES ahead of Team Woody. Team Woody = Blown motors 1000hp each Team Ettore = Non blown motors 780hp each Once Team Ettore Squeegees fixes the poorly designed bottom on their 39'EXTREME they will be the boat (team) to beat! |
Pardon my ignorance on the subject, but I am lucky enought to have my boat parked across the street from Team Ettore... and let me tell you, one day I went by and had a look at that boat. The drives were absolutely impressive, the boat is clean, the motors were like new.
From a laymans point of view, every point of their operation was of the highest respect. |
Nothing against Exteme Powerboats, Mark Spates is one of the few boat builders in Florida that does not LIE like a rug. He builds a good quality boat, gives you the boat when he said he would, and does not sell the same boat 12 times to keep his checkbook full! On the other hand Michael Peters is the one that designed the bottom configuration for that boat he is the one that should be held accountable for EVERY 39 that was built. Mr. Peters needs to stick to cat bottoms. Every 39 Extreme has seen the bottom of the Atlanitc or Pacific and everybody is pointing fingers at the wrong guy. I have first hand experiance on how screwed up the bottom on that boat is we tried everything to make it run.
|
Oh one more thing, HIGHBIDDER better get his facts straight the FIRST! 39 Extreme to be rigged and raced EVER! Was on the EAST COAST!
Mr Teague called us to see where we were cutting our X dimension! :D |
Quickshift,
I would be interested in poster size picture let me know if you get them and how much. |
Shoei: You write about me like you know me, but as usual, I have no idea who you are, and your post proves that just like your buddy Stickerboy, you have no clue about the things you write about.
My 28' you are referring to had a very bad CG when Arcer rigged it for me and was nearly UNRACEABLE in anything but flat water, it just was too nose light to be competative, but I STILL won a few races with it against the likes of Nigel Hook and Lance Hendrickson, not an easy task. The reason I wear a full race uniform on Airplanes is because I was contracturaly obligated to do so under my Sponsorship agreements.... some of us are paid professionals....again, I would not expect you or your friends to understand anything about the business of racing, but I do understand your need to make post so you feel a part of the group. I did not sell that boat to "Danny Mac"... once again, your completly wrong....Raoul Broch purchaed that boat from me, Dan was his throttleman for a while....so Dan spent some time in the boat. I only raced againt that boat (in my new boat)for maybe 2 races and the boat was never in front of me except that I believe we broke drives (or a ruptured a ballast tank and got steamed out)in both of those races so they might have finished in front of us since we were not running. By the way, there is a very important point that you left out about my old boat which I would not expect you to print even if you knew it because your and your half-witted buddies are far more interested in spewing bile about me than printing facts... which is that Dan Macnamara MOVED THE ENGINE FORWARD 17 INCHES before he very raced that boat with the Owner, Raoul. The CG was so messed up and the handeling was so bad from the initial Archer rig-job that I live with for 2 years that he could not even race it the way I was racing it. it was my first true race boat and it just took me awhile to realize what the set up should have been... Good Fella: Show me in any post I have made where I claim that the first Extreme 39 boat rigged was on the West Coast ?. I never printed that, are you just making it up to hvae something negative to say about me ?.. I know the boat went to pat Sullivan, an East Coast racer, (who also had the destinction of being the first to flipp his Extreme boat as well, and Pat is a good throttleman, tough competitor, I've raced against him in Key West). Keep the B.S. and misinformation coming boys if it makes you feel important and included, I'll keep responding with the facts, but do me a favor, at least print something truthful and accurate once in a while so you you don't look like the complete schmucks that you are all the time. ..I'm getting that warm & fuzzy feeling..
|
tank, we will get the negatives back to you soon. I talked to the guy tonite that is doing the work. You had some other good shots, were you looking for others to be blown up? Can we post them on our site? Depending on the mounting is what it cost but once I get the prices I will post that probablly friday. He is doing some proofs now. :D :D :D :D stay tuned.
goodfella, I think what you stated was true. The boat was started wrong and poor mark has been stuck trying to fix it. I plan on letting him know what we found testing. what worked what didn't. We know what its like fighting the big guys, sometimes a little help can go along way. pat W p.s. tank, tell my brother to throttle back. I told him today to chill some people are on our side. |
MY HAT IS OFF TO YOU RYAN. SOMEBODY FINALLY HAS PUT HIGHBIDDER IN HIS PLACE.
IN REPSONSE TO HIGHBIDDER’S ATTACK ON MY FELLOW RACERS AND FRIENDS: “HERMAN THE GERMAN”- HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR ETHNICITY AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR “NAPOLEONIC” TYPE ATTITUDE. RYAN “WANNABE” BOAT RACER- HIGHBIDDER YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO IDEA WHO RYAN IS, BUT WHAT COULD WE EXPECT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER WON A NATIONAL TITLE OR A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE. RYAN HAS. IF ANYBODY IS A WANNABE, I BELIEVE IT IS YOU. WEARING UNIFORMS ON THE PLANE - IN YOUR CONTRACT, RIGHT. YOUR SPONSORS, COULD GIVE A SH__ IF YOU WENT NAKED WITH THEIR LOGO TATTOOED ON YOUR ASS….IN FACT, THIS WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY GIVEN THEM MORE IN-FOCUS EXPOSURE (YA KNOW, MORE FOR THEIR $$$), THAN YOUR LACK LUSTER PERFORMANCE IN OFFSHORE RACING. KILO RECORDS, YOU HAVE ONE, IT HAD LITTLE TO DO WITH YOUR ABILITIES AS A THROTTLEMAN, AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE MOTOR BUILT BY PAUL PFAFF. DIVISIONAL TITLE, YOU ONLY ACHIEVED THIS ONCE SPONSORSHIP- HOW MUCH DID YOU ACTUALLY ACQUIRE IN SPONSORSHIP $$$$. RAIN X, YES SOME MONEY, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS PEOPLE THINK OR THAT YOU SAID. ENTREPRENEUR MAGAZINE, YOU SWINDLED THEM PRETTY GOOD, OBVIOUSLY THEY WERE IMPRESSED WITH YOUR PERFORMANCE. HOW COME THEY ONLY SPONSORED YOU FOR ONE YEAR? SOLAREYES, WOW- FREE SUNGLASSES, HOW COME WE NEVER SAW YOU WEARING A PAIR? YOUR EXPERTISE AS AN OFFSHORE RACER. REMEMBER ST. PETE 1999? YOU HAVE SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE THAT I BELIEVE IT GOT IN THE WAY, CLOUDED YOUR MIND, AND YOU JUST PLAIN FORGOT THAT A SHIRT (race uniform) CAN BE USED TO PLUG THE TRANSOM OF THE BOAT WHEN THE GIMBLE SHAKES LOOSE. BUT, OF COURSE, YOU WERE AWARE OF THAT. YOU HAVE FRIENDS- NOT IN THIS SPORT….MAYBE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHERS. GET A LIFE…. P.S. GET IT STRAIGHT….. IT’S RYAN BECKLEY (AKA- STICKER BOY) |
Looks like your are out numbered on this one
HERMAN the GERMAN! Ryan is your DADDY!!!!! LOL :D :D |
Goodfella:
The important question is not if someone finds thenself "out numbered", it is finding out the motivations, intellect and adgenda's of those who line up to outnumber them. I never worry too much abot being out numbered. OJ was found innocent because the truth got "out numbered". GR |
OJ was really guilty??????? :( :( :( :(
Did you here that OJ was getting married again? He wants to take another stab at it...  Rerigging starts next week. The bottom mod is done we are just waiting on the new wind/water shield and the electical. It should be in the water mid Feb. pat W :D |

what did you think of that stuff shot? tom n |
Steve Miklos:
I would never expect you to be able to get permission form your boss Mike A to agree with me on any issue I argue because I have frequently taken strong positions against what Mike, you and the APBA promote, so your comments don't surprise me and are to be expected. As a side point, did you know that the person you are endorsing started a personal attack on me without any reason at all, no advance from me, no harsh words from me, as a matter of fact I never even knew his name or mentioned it in any post in my life until I found myself on the other end of his BS attacks..... Do you consider that professional conduct as well Steve ?, attacking someone for no reason, with completly innacurate information, and even worse, in a public forum ? this is the guy your lining up with....this is the guy you are defending. And as for the defininition of the word professional, you and I obviously disagree on that....., WEBSTER says it is is defined as.... "Participating for gain or livelyhood in an activity or field engaged in by amatures"... Which would limit the participants described as "professionals" in offshore powerboat racing to a very few people, names like... John Tomlinson Jerry GIlbreth Bobby Moore and a very few others.... and wether you like ot or not (not referring to skill level of course...) ME as well. Your comment about Ryan not boasting about the skill he has (or does not have) is not relevant to being a professional... Boasting or not boasting MAY be an element associated with acting with a degree of "Professionalism", but that very much depends on who is looking under the microscope if you know what I mean. If you read any entire thread, every time I blow holes in the lies and bile Ryan is spewing about me by reciting the facts, he completly ignores the factual information (even when others correct him) and then responds by spewing another shower of bile... making it up as he goes along.... For instance, in the most recent attack, he says had absolutely no clue what I was doing running the trim and tabs in the HCM boat in St. Pete 2 years ago.... but what he DOES NOT SAY (and this is the tip of the iceberg of what he conveniently leaves out of his poison filled posts, partly because his goal is the to be destructive, and mostly becuase of his ignorance) is we (Rod and I) raced deck-to-deck and were glued to Don Q for 4 laps, they finished maybe 5 seconds ahead of us, and they had NO PROBLEMS at all, I talked to Pat after the race, and he said we raced him clean and he had no pronblems, we also ran down and passed Out-of-bounds, and they also had no problems.... it was only maybe my 6th or 7th time running in that boat, and we were very competative and in fact whipped some seasoned comptition straight up...I guess they would suck at thier skills as well according to Mr, Critic, Ryan Beckley. Again, this "professional" you are endorsing talks about events he knows nothing about and makes it up as he goes along... If you take the time to read the threads where I talk about my accomplishments, it is always in an effort to establish that I have been doing this for awhile, and (again, like it or not) have accomplshed some significnat things in an effort to defend myself against comments from those who express poorly founded or innacurate opinons about me. I don't start any posts pontificating about myself at all.... I spend most of my time fending off attacks from people very jelous of what I accomplshed in the sport that try to minimize what I did..... I am trying to ignore these things, especially from the most insignificant of people (like Ryan) but it is difficult, I am sure you can appreciate that because I ahve seen you post relpy's as well defending things you were doing that were not fairly cirticized. Lets get down to brass tacks here... How many OFFSHORE Teams (or even purpose built race boats) has Ryan owned How many REAL MONEY SPONSORS has Ryan landed How many OFFSHORE RACES has Ryan won How may KILO RECORDS has Ryan set How many Championships (division or otherwise) has Ryan taken home in OUR SPORT. I also was did around 50 TV shows on the subject sport, and believe me, it was not because of my charming personality.... Speedvision like my in-depth knowledge and I hvae the MEMOS from them to prove it. What are the real numbers ?, the REAL stat's, not the BS, not the angry words of a frustrated wanna-be....lets talk real accomplishments. I'll be glad to put my "terrible" record up against his anytime. If you take this for what it is, and you take the time to read who is doing the attacking, and who started it for apparently no reason at all other than jelousy and envy, and you have any interest in being fair about your commentsit, you might take a different position. GR [ 01-13-2002: Message edited by: highbidder ] |
How many OFFSHORE Teams has Ryan owned
How many REAL MONEY SPONSORS has Ryan landed How many OFFSHORE RACES has Ryan won How may KILO RECORDS has Ryan set How many Championships (division or otherwise) has Ryan taken home in OUR SPORT. 1- 1 I've raced my own 24 Skater this year. 2- 4 (Recycle America, Action Jet Sports, Albrittion Towing, & Street Eagle motorcycle rentals) 3- 9 (2 in the Havoline S-28 driving, 2 in Utterly Fantastic F3-36 driving, 2 in Solid Gold P3-25 throttling, 1 in Team Virgin Riendl, 2 in Kinetic P2-24 throttling) 4- 0 Kilo records. (hopefully someday) 5- 2 (2001 Force series champion P2 class, 2001 World/National Champion) both of these championships were won in my 24 Skater, but I had no competion in either, but a win is a win right? |
It's clear that this moron, 'highbidder" is one sorry individual!
As he replied to my comment earlier ... "I don't care!, " or should I say, WE DON"T CARE! Frankly, I'm tired of his "encyclopedia offshore" mentality! What an A$$! He's boring us all! We all strive to be! And some of us will! Give us a break! You think you are! But, I've never heard of you, so you can't be that great! I've been around for a long time too. Glad to see you're a legend in your own mind! Now please keep it that way!! Next!!! Who the "F" do you think you are anyway? Get of your low horse! You are surely And. I'm sure no one cares about want he's ranting about |
Whoops!
I meant to delete those last four lines, but I guess it doesn't matter. You still bore me! |
Gentlemen/Ladies,
This sport is all about being competitive and having fun pursuing our passion! If we were not "passionate" about our pursuits there would never be champions nor people who aspired to be. So therefor I accept that passion at times over rules good sense and emotion but it should never exceed the common sense theme of "treating others as you would have them treat you". I am not a regular contributor to this board as a poster or commentator. Because of my job responsibilities. But I feel compelled to try and set this interesting topic on a continuing positive trend. A statement was made that it would be nice to know more technically here so all (the sport and industry)can continue to grow and mature. This boat(Ettore)in my opinion is what racing is all about! The owners, Mark Spate (Extreme Boats)the Weismann's, the driver and throttleman are all pushing the edge of technology. Nothing is perfect and it takes time, effort and persistence to improve something. We all know that what works in one situation may not work in another. It takes guts and yes sometimes even risks to be different. Now from a firsthand perspective this past year I personally have spent more hours in the capsule of an Extreme 31 both driving and throttling (courtesy of the GM Vortec/Extreme Team and Steve Miklos)than probably 98% of the rest of the population. I can attest that the 31 Extreme Boat can handle extremely capably in various water conditions. But you have to "learn" how to get the best out of it. Throttle and trim are extremely important, as they should be, if you want ultimate control. From personal experience I do not believe you could find a more passionate builder than Mark Spate of Extreme. He is commited to making his product the best it can be. He like the Ettore team learns from every experience and I am confident that Mark will continue to improve on every Extreme he builds. It's his nature! The Weismann drive/motor combination is different! Racing is all about speed, boat control and skill at the helm. Everyone knows that a boat is a "system" that is only as good as it's weakest link. This team is just sorting out what it needs to do and what needs to get fixed in the "System"! Give them a chance. We know the drive can find speed ... it's shown that. The system planes, lands, turns and accelerates the craft. Every good racer I know worry's and debates minute details like weighting, proping, ballast, fueling amount, trim, etc. Give the Ettore team time to work these out and the next shot you might see of them in Powerboat is flying the finish line in first place! I for one admire all of these pioneers in technology. I encourage them to continue in spite of set-backs. If it were easy then it would not be the challenge we all chase! Good Luck and Safe Racing to all competitors and their crew in 2002! Mark Skrzypek |
Ryan,
Dont forget your 2nd place in the worlds in F3. Thats coming from the king os 2nd place in the worlds. Curtis |
Coolshots,(tom) awsome pics. jim tells me you have more. Do you have any from the start? The shots you took were everything you said they would be. Did you see the Powerboat sticker on the purple stripe at the left rear?
:D :D Goodfella. Do you still have the extreem? We will show you our notes if you show yours. Mark S. eliquent as ever. thanks pat W :) :) :) |
1) Highbidder is taking up valuable space on this board, and at least to me is an egotistical bore. I am glad he is not a commentator for Offshore- We'd never see the actual races.
2) Mark Skrzypek, my sentiments exactly. The future are to those that dare to try things differently, and to keep trying until they find what works best. It was only a few years ago that I got to start meeting many people in Offshore racing. I have met some a wide variety of personalities. - Some will loan parts and even engines to their own competitors and will just call it a good race if they lose. - Others keep swearing the other person won because he is cheating, but is unwilling to protest to the rules. - Then there are those that think their Sh%$ doesn't stink. They know everything and put down other teams, people and boats to make their low esteam look better. I have full respect for the first kind, I can understand the sentiments of the second kind because it costs money to protest, but have abslutely no respect, time or interest in the latter. These guys can go pound sand and everyone else enjoy this great sport. |
Pat
I saw the PB sticker, Much appreciated. I missed the Super V start, I was on the supercats and couldn't get back in time for the Super V's. I do have some great running shots I'll be sending out next week. Mr Offshore, Thanks Tom [ 01-14-2002: Message edited by: coolshot ] |
Pat & Chris:
Sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been out of town. Whatever you can do in regards to the photos is cool with us. I know theres a couple of nice shots in the group of photos Kelly sent you, so whatever is easiest for you will be fine. If you can get a couple extra 8X10's of which ever shots came out the best that would be good with us. And we are in no huge hurry to get the negatives back, whenever you are done. Yes you can post any of those photos on your web page, I'm sure Kelly would appreciate the acknowledgement though (its Kelly Lee) ;) On the subject of the record run to Long Beach with Kidsstuff, she is looking forward to the possiblitly of shooting some pics for you guys. Also I have talked to some friends and I can get you some "stand by" boats to cover from north of Ventura down to Malibu and from either Redondo or Marina del ray to Long beach. That is assuming you need any type of support boats and/or rescue boats. Let me know what you guys think. Tank [ 01-14-2002: Message edited by: thisistank ] |
HEY HERMAN THE GERMAN!
GIVE THE KEYBOARD A REST! HERE IS A $ BUY A CLUE! |
Okay, you got me, I feel its my turn to set the record straight.
1- As the subject was the Ettorre boat, It is a matter of WHEN not if it wins a national race. I had the best seat in KW 2001 to watch this boat and I feel if anything it needs seat time (read: more experiance in cockpit)in the boat. Frankly the boat was being run stupid! 2- Pat & Chris W. You know how good I think your gear is- been there from early on & guys keep doing it! 3- Ryan, not sure if we met but you nailed GR perfectly, so I like ya. Hope you get the 24 back together and hey slow it down when your playing! Remember you dont know when you cross over the 100% until you do. You will get one wrong, all the good guys do (GR read "those that run hard") but keep it to race day when those medics (good Guys) are in the air! 4 - GR "wantabee" AKA Herman the German. You mention persoal attacks, well twice this month you have taken cheap shots at me. 1stly you take a shot at me (& Peter H at Scater) by quoting Kidstuff as allways landing on one side. Not once did the guys in the boat (or Peter) mention that nor complain about handling. I know they opted to race safely and enjoy themselves. You probably forgot that I also rigged another prior to Mills and Bill's and that one also still wins races today. Secondly you now blame me for the way you *****'ed around in your 28 Scarab, get real a little agression and that boat would have kicked ass, in case you forgot, after your dismal showing in KW in 1993 (I think) I took your Boat for a run with Nigel H, and he concluded that with the 28 he might have got around Fabio! Problem CREW Not BOAT!!! and as I remember it was Danny Mac drove for Nigel! Cool site guys! Craig A |
Hi Craig,
Tom N. |
Steve, nothing finalised but Nigel and I have been talking, feel like we got something to finish taht we started at KW. Tom nice to hear from you, sure we will catch up during the season!
