Donzi hatch hinge
I'm trying to find the manfacture of the Donzi engine hatch hinges for the 99 26ZX. I've misplaced one half, & now I really need one. I've contacted Donzi, but have not gotten a return call from them. I've checked at West Marine, & Boaters World, but nothing matches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
Post a picture, there are tons of types of hinges. I'm sure Donzi didn't make the hinge so someone is bound to have seen it somewhere else.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
I'll do that, thanks

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
Put a post on www.donzi.net I'm sure someone will have a direction for you to go.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
Thanks, I've done that, but nothing yet. I'll post a pic & measurements later today. I've found Perko has the same design, but measurements are wrong, they call it a "pull-out", or a "take-apart" hinge.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
I saw your post on the Donzi site after I posted that. They don't get nearly the traffic as Oso. If nobody answers today, send a pm to "Mr X" on that site.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
Any Donzi dealer should be able to order the hinges. Donzi probably won't sell direct to the customer so you must go through a dealer.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
some of the hinges used by Donzi were not of the shelf products. if its anything like the ones used on the larger boats it may have to be a custom fabbed piece. a friend of mine has a 33 zx and had to have one made.

Re: Donzi hatch hinge
Thanks for all the input on this, I did find that it was a custom built hinge. I took it to a machinist friend of mine, & he made me a perfect duplicate, I just have to polish it...oh boy...LOL...but he really did a good job..thanks again...

I was TTT :) I think purchasing them from donzi at $195 for each hinge is highway robbery. Just wanted to see if anyone has some old ones laying around.

Donzi gets them from somewhere. Try looking at Perko's catalog.
