Yep.

They get BIG power out of them in the Unlimited-class air racers. Some serious $$ to get them into competition form.

The Seattle based Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum runs a few restored merlin powered hydro's. They test run them near my house on the Columbia River, its awesome.

look at the exhaust and intake on that motor..some serious potential, if he hasnt even had a set of headers built for it..I doubt the heads have been worked etc...
