why would he ? the longer he waits, the less total runs he has to make and the more free advertising he gets. I haven't heard of anyone going after his current record before miami.

He was until they blew a trans. last week. Lucky they broke it in a warmup run. Could of been bad to do it at 190. Now they are working on beefing it up for that kind of power.

Why would one risk having a transmission with the kind of power they are using when trying to break a record? Does not sound smart to me. One more thing to break?

They need a gear to get up and a gear for top end. Nobody has anything that can handle the power yet

2 speed or 3 speed sounds like a good idea if they can handle the sudden torque load.

You know Reg could save a bunch of money by just using a GPS and a camera, instead of getting SBI up there to certify it with proper trial equipment. It seemed to work for other manufactuers...
