Anyone know aprox gps on powerquest 270 with twins?

Does anyone know anything about these boats with twin 350's? How is the ride?

Guessing mid-60's. Never been in one, but should have a solid ride for a 27. Not sure if the swim platform counts in the length at PQ...

I know for sure they made a 27 with twins. I saw one at my old marina years ago. Don't know the details on it..Rick

They probably only made a few. My guess is it didn't perform too well. It would seem to be quite tail heavy and not have a very good CG. Short LOA boats with twins never seem to perform well.

After being with Powerquest from 96-01, I can tell you we only built a hand full of 27 Lasers with twin small blocks.
The largest twin engine option were the Merc 350 Mags.
It was very transom heavy with the twin option. Most all of the
27 's built were singles with large power. With the weight issiue of the twin 350 mags, at best was 62-65 on gps depending on fuel load, gear, air temp.etc.
