Dave,
I have to pass... I am still too sick to try to make that kind of a trip right now..

Driving is probably your best bet.

That sucks!!!

The problem every year (even without weather problems) is the fact that there is alot going on in Florida this weekend. The simple truth is that they overbook the chit out of the flights.....weather REALLY screws it up on top of that (if it turns).

That Daytona 500, the boat show and there is usually some huge ***-azzed art show going on as well. I made the huge mistake of flying stand-by on some Delta buddy passes back in 2000. Got booted off in Atlanta and ended up to not getting a seat on the next 12 flights. We ended up renting a car and driving from Atlanta to Miami. We had to do it.....our luggage made it to Miami on the original flight!!

Come on guys, I know there are a few pilots here. If not, I'm up for a one way road trip but it has to start pretty damn quick. I used to drive solo with my dually & "wild child F2-07" from here & be in Palm beach in 18 hours. A bunch of drunks could make it in 17 to miami with a good radar detector, a wing & a prayor. Let's go!!

Oh well, all attempts on flying have failed. I tried going as far as Washington DC (5-6 hr drive) & no flights available.
I am sooooooooo damn pissed off you wouldn't believe. I've NEVER been unable to get a flight. Price is not an issue & I still can't do it.

Were there even flights available for coming back ?

I would think you probably still had yours at least...

Thanks for your thoughts everyone!
Delta just came through with a flight tomorrow evening. I should be at the OSO/FPC party by 11pm.
I just can't believe how bad the airlines did today. Yes, I know we had a few hours of bad weather but...............
There is no reason Jet Blue should have strung me along all day today, just to tell me the flight is cancelled 4 hours after it was supposed to leave. I'm hoppin mad

Not trying to defend the airlines because everyone F's up.... However you much rather the pilot be on the ground wishing we were in the air than in the air praying that we can make it to the ground in one piece....

Take a look at NTSB reports and see where "get there itis" can get you.....
