525 Extended Warranty

Has anyone here on OSO purchased an extended warranty from Brunswick Product Protection Corp.? What are your thoughts about the package? Have you ever made a claim and how well was it handled. My reason for asking is because I'm about to dump $5K+ down on this and I'm hoping it's money well spent. The policy has upgrades that allow up to $30K of covered liability over the lifetime of the policy. (4 years). It also has a Wear Upgrade and a Major Casting/Housing Upgrade. $25 deductible per claim. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

I have it and like the package. I have not had one issues so I dont use it. The best reason to buy it is resale and Bravo XR Drives... You will use it eventually for that.

My '05 525's has already had a Cam sensor go bad, and (2)complete XR rebuilds due to bad bellows. The drive repairs alone would have cost over $2,000.00 to have a certified mechanic replace them. Fortunately my Formula has the 5 year warranty. (Merc did kick in and cover the bellows drive repairs) I would think it's good piece of mind.
